Here at Nuvolo, you’ll hear us talk a lot about the platform on which our solutions are built: ServiceNow.  It’s no secret we’re very proud of our relationship with ServiceNow; it’s fueled our growth in multiple ways, and it’s unlikely we’d be as successful as we are without it.

But this isn’t about us. It’s about our customers, and, importantly, our close relationship with ServiceNow has myriad benefits for them… some might say that list is infinite. 

Many professionals in the Facilities Management world have grown accustomed to the pain and inefficiency of multiple software tools that don’t talk to each other, and the notion of a fully integrated, fully-featured suite of tools has been a foreign concept, almost too good to be true.

Not anymore.

One Nuvolo customer recently illustrated this sad state of affairs with a single, relatively pedestrian, example.

The customer – a high tech company with over 20,000 employees and 100 locations -was consolidating 5 locations into a single facility.  The Company’s Director of Program Management lamented that this “single project” was really a compilation of 5 or 6 sub projects, each dependent on different company groups, and each using different tools to track progress.  In the words of the Director:  “sale and approval, lease execution, moving employees, building out the new facility, etc. are all independent projects, all involving different groups (HR, IT, security, facilities, finance), each with their own independent tracking tools …just getting updates from all the different groups is an exercise in holding court…phone calls, emails…”

The Director’s frustration is palpable, and coordinating such a basic project – let’s be honest, it’s not Apollo 11 – is a nightmare without an integrated suite of tools that all reference the same database, or “single source of truth” as we say around the Nuvolo hallways.
